Window 7: Blue Screen on boot
Brand new (completely new) 3XS system - running fine for a couple of weeks but all of a sudden on start up this afternoon (ZERO changes to the system) the machine gets to the windows 7 logo and just after it blue screens.
The blue screen is up for such a small amount of time I can't see what is wrong.
I have tried the windows repair tool but no help. I ran a memory test - all fine.
I tried every available restore point in the repair tool - zero change - still an immediate bluescreen after the windows 7 logo.
help! £2000 worth of hardware sitting here.
I've added no peripherals extra, no software, no drivers or anything in the last few days. The only thing that has happened is a standard Windows 7 update. And my wife's machine has had the same update and is running fine.
Is this likely a hardware fault?
cheers,
Matt
Re: Window 7: Blue Screen on boot
Latest on this.
So, this morning I took a systematic approach to try and get the machine to boot. I used my bootable Acronis image and managed to get the machine into safe mode. The only way I got the machine to actually boot was to disable driver signing.
It seems that when my windows update ran it updated my Razer Deathadder mouse driver - removing this driver has allowed the machine to boot.
I have contacted Razer and a quick response told me that their drivers are Windows 7 64 bit compatible and the deny that their drivers will be the cause of this problem.
So, I have a machine that I can boot but not a clue what is the real cause of the problem. I would appreciate any thoughts you guys may have on this?
cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt
When you say you have run the Acronis software have you reloaded the original image we created when the system was built?
Please email us your build and Invoice number to systemsupport@scan.co.uk
