    Hi g3po

    Re: Seems slow

Put up with the occasional blue screens but after buying some newer games i.e. Borderlands 2 blue screens we're happening more often so switched overclock off and had no problems whatsoever have been playing like that for some months now and am starting to want to put o.c. back on but would obviously need adjusted somewhere any ideas where i'd start

    Re: Seems slow

Remember, not all cpu's overclock the same. My 2500k will run at 4.7 but will fail prime. 4.5 is usually the norm but find that mine personally runs best at 4.2. Remember its the silicone lottery on whether you get that golden chip.

    Re: Seems slow

Think i was advised to increase the voltage at one point which had some effect in that it happened less, then later when newer games came out it happened more regularly is this because the newer games push the pc to its limit's more ?

    Re: Seems slow

have you run prime 95? if it fails at their 47x setting then take it to 46 etc till prime can run for a few hours without a fail.

    Hi G3P0

If you are stable at 4.6 there is hardly any perfomance difference from 4.7 if you still get issues let us know and we can advise on some tweaks you can try

    Regards

    Ben
