    Hi Pozmu,

Please could you mail your Hexus username, build and invoice number to systemsupport@scan.co.uk

We can then arrange to get a replacement to you.

    Regards,

    Rob

    Hi

We wouldnt advise using the system if the noise is a constant high pitched sound as it may damage the system, I have passed your details to Netsolve to replace the PSU next week

    Regards

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

So finally this Friday I got PSU replaced (you said it will be done next week - so it was longest week ever)... However it very worries me that it will lead to new problems as the guy who was replacing it used no ESD protecting gear at all - he was just kneeling at carpet and replacing parts of the computer
Another problem I encountered yesterday was inability to resume from hibernation, 1st time ever I seen something like this:

And yes, I'm using standard clock right now... Hope it won't repeat.

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

I found that is overclocked profile that causes BSODs, please help me.

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

    Hi

Please confirm what you are doing on the system when you get the issue with the overclocking?
Have you looked at our Thread regarding the Windows 7 and Overclocking

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

    Hi pozmu

You are saying that you checked the settings but the issue occured when resuming from hibernation which is one of the settings we disable as it causes issues on an Overclcocked system...

Please confirm the exact issue with the system you are having

    Regards

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

    Regarding hibernation:
And yes, I'm using standard clock right now... Hope it won't repeat.
But it isn't a problem, it works ok now on standard profile.

Exact issue are BSODs when using overclocked profile with hibernation, standby etc. disabled.
It happens randomly, not very often but regularly - I posted details on 1st page of this thread

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

    I have another problem
I frequently experience total system crashes when playing games. Let's say I'm playing BF3 - there is no way I could play it all day because it will sooner or later crash my PC. Usually crash is in the form of gray screen of death, sometimes with repeating sound... There is nothing in Windows Event log and no minidumps. First I thought it was related to overclock or/and BF3 but even after switching to standard profile (no OC) it still happens. I had two or three similar crashes with other games but I'm not sure if they were exactly same type of crashes...
I tried monitoring my system with SpeedFan but I'm not sure how to read its logs (CLICK TO DL) - they show that just before the crash GPU temp went all the way down to 0??? I suspect it's graphics card problem as I sometimes get "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered" message in Windows - usually during or after gaming but one day I had this happening multiple times while I was just browsing the Internet - strangely increasing fan speed helped in that situation, despite the fact that GPU temps were relatively low. I know this kind of problems can be caused by multiple different things e.g. drivers (I updated to latest 301.42) but I'm worried it may be related to PSU replacement "procedure" made by your technician that could expose card to ESD
Right now I'm testing my system by playing other demanding games with EVGA Precision X monitoring software logging GPU parameters to confirm that it happens with other games and not just BF...

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

Damn it crashes in other games too, it crashed while playing Sleeping Dogs demo (this one was fast - after about ~30 minutes of playing):

    See @ Youtube (with sound)

Here is EVGA PRECISION X log.

It crashed with red screen and buzzing sounds, in BF3 it crashes to gray screen...

I thought it may be related to heat because with default settings card could go as hot as 85C but I enabled software fan curve so it would run cooler but to no avail... as you can see it still crashes :/

    PLS Help

Re: New system - Blue screen & bad sector on disk

    Information sent.
As for suggestion to e-mail you instead writing here... hmmm, I don't understand something I thought this forum was intended for such things? And I'm certain you could get this info without asking me for it because I already got two replacements for my computer from this topic and also my forum account is connected to my scan account so I can get free delivery
