    Routine Maintenance

Got my Tian Di Hui in January this year and am extremely happy with it. However, I'd like to take it to Scan for routine maintenance/cleaning etc and if possible, change a few things.

My pc knowledge/abilities are almost zilch....the most I've been able to do is clean the dust from the 2 fans cooling the RAM sticks and the dust from the RAM sticks themselves.
The fan on the graphics card looks very dusty but it's difficult to get at it as it's on the underside of the card, so it would mean removing the card. I could probably do it but to be honest I'm afraid I would either break something or mess it up.

So, could someone from Scan please post a contact email address (I don't have PM privileges) so I can contact them with regard to having the machine cleaned etc, some other things I'd like done, if possible, and approximate cost.

    Many thanks,

    Dave.

    Re: Routine Maintenance

    Hi Dave,

Just a quick update to let you know where we are up to with your maintenance and upgrade.

Your system has been stripped down and fully blasted out to remove any dust. The graphics card cooler has been removed and the new water cooling block fitted.

The water cooling system has been drained and flushed. All the water cooling components we are re-using have been inspected and cleaned to remove any residue.

The top radiator has been re-installed along with the new fans. The new single radiator has been installed with exhaust fan.

Will be installing the new compression fittings, tubing and fluid tomorrow. Then we can get onto testing.

    I'll keep you updated

    Regards,
    Rob @ Scan

    Hi 747driver

The system is almost built back up and we have tried getting hold of you to see if you want any UV tubes added?

Please call us back asap or respond via OLQ or this thread

We are looking at 2 x 12" Tubes and 2 x 4" Tubes for the best effect

    Regards

    Ben

    Hi Rob and Ben,

    Many thanks for the update.

Sorry for the late reply but your posts have only just got through to my Blackberry in the last couple of minutes.

Ben, as discussed on the phone a short while ago, yes, please go with the 2 x 12in and 2 x 4in tubes to get the best effect.

Just want to say what a great place you have there. The guy on the sales counter and the guy on the customer returns counter were both very helpful and I enjoyed my browse around your displays.

Will phone next Tuesday afternoon to check all is ok for me to pick the pc up next Wednesday.

    Regards,

    Dave.

    Re: Routine Maintenance

Got the pc back today and it's looking absolutely stunning.

I must thank both Ben and Rob for the fantastic customer service they've given me. I was even invited into the Workshop to see my pc up and running on a bench.

I understand when people complain about delays etc but all I can say is have patience...you will be well rewarded with a superb system built to exceptionaly high standards.

Great job guys and was a pleasure to meet you both.

    Best regards,

    Dave.
