    CPU 85-99 degrees

    Hi

I've had my 3XS system just over a month now and had no problem until today. I know the weather has been warm but this morning when I turned the system on it came up with a CPU temperature warning at 97 degrees C straight away when booting up. CPU is an i7 2600K running on an Asus P8Z68-V Pro motherboard - but I guess you can check the components from the order number.

Once the system booted into Windows the temperature actually started to go down, getting as low as 85. Ambient and graphics temperatures looked no different from normal. When seeing how hot the heatsink on the CPU was it barely felt above ambient temperature. I've checked this before with an overheating CPU and the heatsink almost burnt my hand on that occasion!

Hopefully you can help with the issue. It's a little disappointing after years of building my own PC's and not having problems that this has gone wrong after a month

    Simon
