3XS Triad developed annoying whining sound

My PC has suddenly overnight developed a very annoying high pitched whining noise it sounds like a fan. Other than that the PC is working fine and I wondered if anyone else had had the same problem. The intensity varies at the moment it is very low buit on booting up can get loud.

There was no problem last night. The PC was left on overnight and this morning had developed this problem.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received

Re: 3XS Triad developed annoying whining sound

    Hi Robin

Can you confirm if the noise gets louder when the system is under load (gaming etc)

If its only a case fan its an easy fix so if you can determine where the noise is coming from in relation to the inside of the case this will make it easier to pin the issue down

    Regards

    Ben

Hope Scan don't mind me posting here, also check to see if noise is coming from PSU mate, I had one that did that and got louder under load.
