    Using my D drive

Hi recently bought a Scan V15 system.I got two hard drives in it C: is a 240GB SSD and D: is a 2TB SATA.
C: has OS on it.I'm putting my programs on C: As of now D: drive is empty apart from a backup of C:
Not sure how to put stuff on D: drive last p.c. only had one.
Want to put my music files on D: maybe put them in iTunes or not.And maybe some games (don't play games much). So just bulky stuff that doen't need to run fast or get accessed much goes on D:
So how would i go about putting stuff on it.Maybe make a folder on it or something

    Any help much appreciated...

    I assume you're using Windows 7
Have a look at this, the built in library function makes it easy to organise all your stuff across various drives

    Re: Using my D drive

Wow a reply in 22 mins forums i normally go on a reply in 12hours is good sometimes takes 2 days to get a reply. Thanks for the quick response. Yes got Windows 7 Home Premium (64). Old p.c. was XP tried windows Vista on it but it took up too much space and got loads of annoying pop ups all the time so stuck with XP. Only had this p.c. a week now but Windows 7 is the nuts compared to XP and the SSD is really rapid I like it alot.
Old p.c. had 1GB memory and a 156GB hard drive lasted me 6 years but got tired of fixing it and was getting Blue screen and was lagging. So time to put it to rest.
Gonna get some beers then read through that link.I spent so long on XP looking for stuff that was in a folder in another folder in another folder. Then i find it And next week got to access it again and forgot where it was.Could type in search files and folders but couldn't remember the name of it.So hopefully the search function and Libraries will make it a bit easier.

    Re: Using my D drive

Make folders and copy in or just copy whole folders, I am putting os, software and large full colour job files on SSD, we have tonnes, too much for all of it to go on the SSD, if you don't have tonnes then stick it all on the SSD if it fits with space to spare, can use the HDD to backup too or flog it on.
