SSD freezing every so often

Hi, I received my 3XS FT03 Sniper from you in June and have had occasional freezing from the SSD that has the Windows 7 OS on it. When it happens I have to hit the reset button and more often than not when it tries to re-boot the OS SSD does not appear in the BIOS and asks for a different bootable drive. If I reset again the SSD usually re-appears and everything is OK for a while.

The SSD is a Corsair Force 3 120gb with firmware 5.02.

Crystaldiskinfo shows the drive as healthy.

Any suggestions?

I have two of those SSDs and ive not had any issues my mine. How can be sure its the SSD, have you overclocked the system? Does have all the latest drivers?

I've got two SSD's installed and I can be sure it's that one because that's the one that disappears from the BIOS when I reboot immediately after it's frozen. The system is overclocked (safe & stable) when Scan built it. All drivers up to date.

can you confirm if both SSDs were installed in the system when you purchased it and if not if the second one was purchased from Scan?

This is a textbook and classic Sandforce issue. Have a quick Google and you'll find endless people with the issue.

It's almost certain you'll have to RMA it if you're on the latest firmware and are still having issues.

The second SSD was fitted by me into the hot-swappable drive bay just after I got the PC. The SSD causing the problem was the one installed at build by Scan with the OS on it.

Hi, I'm on firmware 5.02 and I believe a 5.03 has been released. Is a firmware upgrade likely to solve this?
