    System won't boot

    Hi

Tried to boot my machine tonight and it doesn't boot.
It doesn't even get to the POST.

There is a code on the Maximus IV Extreme-Z mobo of 32 (sometimes AE).

    Anyone got any ideas?

    TIA

    Evosi.

    Re: System won't boot

    Hi Evosi,

Those codes usually relate to a RAM problem. You could try removing your RAM sticks (leaving one in) and see if it will POST.

If you could also send an email to systemsupport@scan.co.uk with your invoice and build number and hexus username. We can arrange to replace the RAM if that is causing the issue.

    Regards,
    Rob @ Scan

    Re: System won't boot

    Hi Rob,

Thanks for coming back to me.

I have tried using just one RAM stick (all four in turn) and get the same error.
Although the last time I got error AA.

    What is next?

    Thanks

    Re: System won't boot

    Hi Andy

Please try and clear the CMOs and see if the issue persists, if it does you can switch to the backup bios on your board there is a switch in the bottom right corner of the motherboard as far as I remember, if this works there will be no settings but at least we can determine if the primary bios has failed on the board

Let us know how you get on and if the board or ram need replacing this can be done under 2nd year warranty

    Regards

    Ben

    Re: System won't boot

    Hi Ben,

    Cleared CMOS - same problem
    Switched BIOS - same problem.

    What is the next step?

    Cheers

    Andy
