    Soundcard problem

    Hi I've already sent customer support an e-mail but I thought I'd better post here as well.



    A week ago my soundcard stopped working. Where the sound icon is on the taskbar instead of saying SB X-FI it just said SPDIF out and I was getting no sound.Also the creative audio software said it could not detect a soundcard.
    I looked in Device manager and it listed my Creative soundcard. It said everything was working properly and that the drivers were up to date and working fine.
    I spoke to one of your technicians and he suggested that I uninstall the drivers. I did this and rebooted my pc. Windows found the soundcard and automatically downloaded the drivers and everything started working fine again.
    This Sunday the problem happened again so I did the same think as before and everything was ok. It has now happened again today, I am now starting to feel concerned as the problem has now happened three times in a week.
    Could there be a bigger underlining problem?

    Up until recently, I had an X-FI Gamer PCI sound card. I would often lose sound and the only way to fix it was to reload the drivers. It would happen a few times a month and occasionally a few times a week. It was a right pain...

    Even after a bit of research I didn't get to the bottom of it. I remember someone saying it was to do with the way the drivers were packaged in one was having trouble with the speed of new SSDs???

    Touch wood everything has been fine for the past few days. I just don't know if the problem will pop up again. Lol

    I resent the email last Wednesday and I still haven't heard anything back.

    Anyway my sound has been ok for over a week now. So fingers crossed it's sorted it's self out.

    I have checked the systemsupport folder and there are no emails from you, I checked the Junk and Spam as well and nothing there

    Can you drop an email through the query system and mark for my attention please
