Losing overclock
Hello,
Randomly, my Scan built overclocked PC will lose it's overclock after poiwering on. According to the BIOS, the overclock profile is the one that's being used but it reports, on boot, the o/c failed. Powering down the rig then restartiing will bring the o/c back with no issue. I have made no changes to the hardware or power settings, and I've never altered any BIOS parameter.
Any ideas what's going on?
Cheers.

Re: Losing overclock
Is it the system in your profile? If not, what sort of CPU is it and how old is the system?
Don't expect aggressive overclocks to last forever. Try stress-testing the system with something like OCCT, y-cruncher, Prime95, etc and see if it passes.

Re: Losing overclock
If it was sold OC I would return it as you probably have marginal hardware for the speed at which you do hings
edit: if you know what you are doing you might want to try a bios update first - though you would need to reset the speed of the processor

Hello Flatley - as I don't think your Hexus account will allow messages yet, could you contact our system team via online chat, and we'll be able to look into this problem further for you. There's a link on the bottom of most pages on the site.
Thank you.
