lovely lovely system... really... proper.

Great to see a happy customer, hopefully this time in a couple of weeks I will be one too
All the best, Mark
Ruben,
Thought I would come on and see how your getting on... Glad your happy with the machine mate.
Dont worry about Prime95ing (not even a word haha) the system we do that to every overclocked machine its all goooooooooood!!
Enjoy pal

After 5 days, i've finally copied everything i've needed to from my old pc on to the new one
Everything is organised perfectly this time, and hopefully i'll keep windows and the C drive as pure as possible
It's been faultless, ran Prime for 1.30 hours last night, stable at 88c and everygame has now been patched and running perfectly
One other thing i found is that the powerdvd software included does not run Bluray movies, you need to upgrade to version 7.3 to be able to play them properly, just thought i'd let you know for future builds.
The picture quality however, with the tweaks with nvidia, give off a picture so much better than the PS3
Hello everyone . I'm a new member of the Scan forum/ community , I literally just finished placing my new air-cooled system order( Which is very similar to Ur system Yupyupno which looks AWESOME M8 !! I had a few issues i wanted to sort out so i rang scan and spoke to Phil ( hello m8 ! Thank You for all your help / recommendations ) He suggested some changes & recommendations for the better and saved me money in the process ! now that's service ! the only other company that's done that is Vadim ! on that note i must say hello to Mr Vadim Chobanu , its good to see you on these forums i hope all is well sir ? Sorry you probably wont remember me ? I'm a very Proud owner of one of your Water-cooled Monsters !! I was / am so saddened & shocked that you had to close , like all the friends i met while on your forum were . But i was so so lucky to find Scan ! I was trying to find a company as close to vadim as possible. Id heard of scan a lot in custom PC but hadn't ever used them before but all the guys on Vadimites.co.uk recommended them .They all say that Scan are the ONLY Place to go !! and so far I'm VERY VERY Happy indeed ! sorry for my ramblings i got carried away !!!! so i thought id post my whole experience from ordering to build to delivery to using my new system for the 1st time ! so others can see what to expect etc if their thinking of buying from you guys ? I'll post my spec shortly

2 x 295? Woah!
i would personally go down the 285 sli or tri sli if you could fit them in the case...
People have reported micro stutter and they tend to drop down in fps more than sli 280 or 285.
BUt if you're a benchmark type of guy then go for it, the highest framerates are higher than anything else, but the min framerates are lower than sli 280 or 285.
I think i would save money and go for the 920, the 940 is in the middle of nowhere really, might be able to squeeze an extra 2-300ghz in overclock, but you wouldn't really notice a difference.
I'd get a velociraptor, almost as fast as the ssd and has more space too
But its up to you mate, it sure looks like a beastly machine!
Be interesting to see some benchmarks on that awesome hardware, you definitely made the right choice coming to scan!
@Phil, yeah quite alot of stuff, but i haven't really had time on my own, been stuck at work or the girlfriends house, only get around 4 hours a night with my beauty
Go for the 920 it will be clocked at 3.6Gz
Just getting the R&D department to run some tests again on 295s in SLi ill report back ASAP.
You know you want a SSD
Cheers
Thank You so much for your help / comments Yupyupno you make some very good points . Your both right about the processor iv made my mind up I'm gonna stick at the i7 920 ! and with the money saved I'm gonna stick in an SSD ! as for the GPU i think I'm gonna stick with 2x 295 . Thank You for all your help guys
