    Re: Black Widow Extreme

    Hi Philip,

I finally powered up my Black Widow Extreme pc over the weekend and it runs like a dream. The picture quality on my HP LP2475w is excellent. I did not even have to calibrate my monitor. The system has been assembled brilliantly. I think I saw the name of Suraj on the paperwork who assembled the system. Please pass on my thanks to him for his patience in building the system and also to you.

You provided excellent customer service all the way.

I have a few queries. There is a plastic film inside the case affixed to the clear panel. Should I remove this.

At the bottom of the Corsair case, there appears to be a removable filter that slides out. Should I remove this or leave this as it is. What is this used for.

Was there a manual with the Corsair case as I did not see this with my system.

I understand that at the moment, there are no steps in how to top up the water for this system and that I do not have to top up for at least 18 months but when you do get a chance, can you please post some videos or step by step
instructions by email. Do you need to use a specific type of water for this?

Also as my drives are mirrored, I do not see the 2nd drive in Windows Explorer. Any reason why this may be.

    Regards

    Dipendra

    Re: Black Widow Extreme

    Hi

The Plastic film can be removed it is to stop the panel getting scratched

The filter slides out so it can be cleaned so just keep your eye on it every month or so

The drive configuration of a Mirror means you will only see one drive as the 1st drive is mirrored to the second drive

The manual for the case as far as I know should be in the motherboard box but not all cases come with a manual so let me know if you find it

    Regards

    Ben

    Re: Black Widow Extreme

    Hi Ben,

I did not find the Corsair manual but I went to the Corsair website and managed to locate a PDF version of the Obsidian 800D.
