Well, if you could pass the message onto the person who coincidentally discusses their choice of vehicle in their username, I'm still waiting for the G-E to reach the UK.
Newegg have had it for a while, but Scan (or any other UK retailer) don't seem to have it yet. I know philipp has had a look a couple of times for either a G-E or a rev 03 board but I don't think he found any. I didn't really want to rush it and get something I don't want so I'm holding off for the moment - I reckon Scan would be nuts not to get it in, so hopefully once it hits the UK we'll be okay.
Currently putting a lot of work into building a list of parts for my own mini-ITX HTPC and I keep stumbling over this;
Neither a Rev3 or a G-E board, but seemingly a further step forward?GF9300-I-E (PCB04) has the following differences from earlier PCB versions: DVI is Dual-Link, not Single-Link; S/PDIF header added to board; 3x SATA instead of 2x SATA; CPU/RAM undervoltage now possible (overvoltage still possible); RAID 0+1, 5 added to RAID 0, 1; Wake On USB support added; Onboard Power LED added; Clearance under board altered to increase 3rd party CPU heatsink support.
Being sold at another place which I'm probably not allowed to mention due to this being the Scan section - lead time is 3 to 5 days though with the comment "Next batch due Dec 8th/9th."
If they're in the country and being sold by other vendors....
According to Zotac forums
Either would be fine for me, as far as I'm concerned I just wanted a standard 9300-ITX with wake on USB - it's the only thing I actually cared aboutThe only differences between the GF9300-G-E and the GF9300-I-E are that the GF9300-I-E features an overclocked GPU and a redesigned northbridge heatsink.
I haven't been able to find it in the UK, if you could PM me with any info I'd appreciate it![]()
Your original £300-£350 budget is creeping up a tad![]()
Still following with interest (still plotting my own HTPC)
Is there any reason you've gone for a seperate GPU rather than a mobo with onboard HDMI?
