In my own testing the 1800Mhz has been as stable as the 1600Mhz. The 1600Mhz is offical spec on that chipset through where the 1800Mhz isn't so it's a bit more of a risk. I'd turn this question over to the build guys personally to confirm or deny through.

    Hi Guys,

Yep that is the spec I ordered (I ordered over a week ago now actually), yorkiedave it has dual HD5870s and yeah they are both watercooled. I have been having to wait for parts, its not been built yet, I never asked specifics but I guess it is the two watercooled 5870s that I am having to wait for. There will be pics posted when its being built if you are interested.

Thanks krispy, but you are on your 3rd scan machine right? This is only my first so you have enjoyed them for years before me!

Cant wait for mine to arrive!

    Hi Pokerisfun,

Well done... may I ask who you found the best person to talk in reference to ordering,
E-Mailed a couple of weeks ago to scan and was told.......

“In regards to the noise levels, as the system is not able to water-cool the graphics cards if you choose the ATI option, these will be the item which generates the most noise and if you refer to the following review, they state the noise generated by these cards is around 42 decibels”

I know thing's move on in the computer world.....fast.

Also have you managed to see any pic's of 3XS Black Widow Extreme with lighting in different colours, (like the 3XS Triad) on there web site.

    Hi Yorkie,

I spoke to Paul about my order but I am sure if you post on here someone will be along to answer your question. You can definately get the HD5870s watercooled however you may be in for a bit of a wait. As for the lighting colours I asked for blue, I never looked at other options but again I am sure someone will answer your question for you.

    Hi Yorkiedave,

Who told you that you couldn’t have water cooled 5870s?

The Black Widow Extreme was designed to offer a CPU/GPUs watercooling solution

I will try and get more pictures up ASAP

Re: Wanting a top of the line rig, been pointed here.

Well my computer arrived on Saturday, and I have been getting my data onto it and using it non stop ever since.

Words cant describe it, its perfomance is completely phenomenal, just like Scans service to me over the purchasing period. I couldn't be any happier with this purchase and certainly in the future when I need anything computer related I will be straight onto Scans website as my first port of call.

Many thanks to Paul and Philip at Scan for helping me with my config (and Ben for sorting a minor issue with it the other day!), I have already recommended you to someone else looking to buy a system soon today and I couldnt rate your service highly enough.

    Martin
