    Weird Sound Problem

    Good Morning

I've had my 3xs PC for a couple of days now and I'm really pleased with it but I have this strange problem with the sound.

I can quite happily be listening to my music or doing something, then the sound will go off. If I go to my creative control panel I can see the sound effects showing as playing on the icon but nothing is coming through the speakers. If I reboot the system it works fine and the sound is back.

I've plugged the speakers into the other sockets but nothing comes out of those either when the sound is gone.

Any clues what this might be?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi rzk

Could you provide some information about the parts in your system, the most important being what sound card do you have

    Re: Weird Sound Problem

    Hi rzk

Please confirm if its Windows 7 32 or 64 bit on the system?

I have seen a few issues with Win7 and sound pauses on my 64Bit Media Center which is using the Realtec soundcard so its possible its a win7 glitch, can you make sure Windows hasnt installed its own native sound drivers as this can cause random issues with the system

The onboard soundcard is disabled if you have a creative card in the system so these other ports wont work at all

The front port may be connected to the Creative card but this depends on the card model you have, please confirm your build number in an email to systemsupport@scan.co.uk and we will look into this for you

    Regards

    Ben
