A quick and final update on my journey with Scan. An initial disappointment with the delay to the build was added to with a couple of days extra delay. However, a phone call from Philip explained the problems they were having and ensured me that I would not be long without my new machine. Delivery was on the date arranged and external packaging was very good and internally the case filled with bubblewrap. Unboxing revealed a PC worth waiting for! The case was immaculate inside and out (Corsair 500R White) with no marks, scratches or damage. Cabling had been tied in looms very neatly through both sides of the the back plate. A very professional standard and credit to the builder. Testing revealed the overclock (4.7GHz on i5 2500k) to be in effect and I have had no problems, a max of 83C recorded in core temp when testing with IntelBurnTest. The Corsair H80 cooler is wonderfully quiet and even when the PC was being stressed was a low volume. It came with a GTX 580 and a 120GB OCZ VertexSSD. I had 3 1TB Hdd`s (with data) to fit myself and I should have asked Scan to leave a Sata lead and power connector wired into position for each. I had to remove some ties and then re-tie after running the cables.
The Verdict: Delivery took longer than I had hoped for and initially there was little communication about the delays. Thereafter comms were excellent and very helpful. The finished PC is superb! I am very pleased with quality of the build and I have had no problems. Would I order again from Scan? Absolutely - but I would allow myself a few extra days in case of holdups. Thanks once again Philip for your help.
