Hi,

I'm currently planning a new build, although having looked at some of the 3XS systems now it's possibly drawing me down this avenue instead.

My question is, on the listed custom systems some components do not have any alternates listed. Can anything be changed even if not listed (for other parts sold by Scan ofc)? For example if I wanted a 750w psu rather than a stated 600w unit?

As a follow up question, and staying on the psu theme, if I specified a modular unit would I receive all the unused cables as well?

I asked these exact same questions just before I ordered my system last week. I gave Scan a call and then sent a mail highlighting the 'non-standard' options. They check to make sure you're not doing something daft and then order placed (I wanted a 750w PSU rather than the 650 and a different graphics card).

You get all the bits not used in the system build - so any unused modular cables, SLI bridges, stickers, manuals, etc.

I guess if you follow this through to the extreme you could almost design your complete own spec and have the 3XS experts build/test/warranty it for you.

In short yes, however we usually find that our extensive configurator offers something for everyone
