    Extended warranty and upgrades/additions

As I said in my thread about the install it is my intention to extend the onsite service contract for my new system just as in the event of anything going wrong its easier to get it fixed onsite than having it returned to Scan.

My question is, if I decide to add something such as an SSD or to upgrade the graphics card in 18 months would that void the warranty or would it be ok provided I bought the parts from Scan and discussed the issue with technical support beforehand?

There is a thread on this somewhere (was reading it earlier today but cannot find now!) as I recall the general consensus was the warranty would continue if scan fitted the parts...that having been said I wouldn't accept my advice as gospel. Best speaking with Scan directly.

    Re: Extended warranty and upgrades/additions

    Hello Pctech2012,

Its your system so your free to add parts as required, however the new part will not be covered under the original system warranty.

Also if you was to damage your system installing the new parts then again it wouldn't be covered.

    Best Regards
