    Advice on HPC

    Hi all,

I'm looking at the 3XS TA77 2.5in HDDS HPC, and upgrading to:
Intel Xeon Ivy Bridge 6 core 2.6GHz 15MB
    256GB Hymix DDR3 up to 1,600MHz

I work with large datasets and plan to perform data mining with this.
Have other people used this spec, or think it would be up to scratch?

    Thanks

    Re: Advice on HPC

    Hi Woodkern

The 3XS TA77 has been especially designed for HPC applications so it will be great at data mining.

    For instance it supports:

    1. Professional grade Intel Xeon CPUs.
    2. Professional grade NVIDIA Tesla GPUs.
    3. ECC memory.
    4. Dual-redundant PSUs.

What are you running at the moment, and will the processing work be done on the CPUs/GPUs or both?
