    Re: Which one ?

Do you mean which will perform better a 2011 i7 with one 780, or an 1150 one with 2? If so its most definitely the last one. If you're getting it into a HAF XB I'd get a h100 though. And check where its going - they're huge. (not too far off two miditowers stcuck together and laid on their side.

Sorry, I got my cube cases confused. The carbide air 540 isn't quite as big I don't think, its still a pretty big case though. I'd still get a h100 rather than a h80, and assuming you don't already have a decent sized spinning disk, I'd go for a smaller SSD and a say 1TB disk (I currently have about 200GB of games installed).

2011 is only really any use if you're going for properly monster builds (Quad SLI etc). I don't know if I've ever seen a direct comparison, but I'd put money on a twin 780 system being faster 95% of the time.

What monitor are you using? Anything less than 1440p with those specs is a travesty.

    Re: Which one ?

Thanks for your help on this , I do have a big disk as well already but I do take your point it's just such a big cost . BenQ XL2420T which I'm not that happy with but that's what I have and I'm not going to change it any time soon I will be being watched carefully now by the enjoyment officer . Cheers for your input
