    Should I Buy a 3XS or Self-Build.....

Since about 2000 when I saved enough to buy my first motherboard and CPU as an upgrade to an ancient PC I was given, I have always built my own PCs.

Roll on 2021, why should I not continue that tradition?

What benefits are their to buying a 3XS machine?

Unless you have a decent GPU,then you will paying silly money for a new GPU. Hence,it probably makes sense to get a prebuilt system,as it seems to be cheaper than doing a DIY build now.

Well as already stated you’d at least be getting a GPU at around msrp, on top of that you get the warranty of a pre built and the option to extend.

I bought a 3XS system way back in 2014 and although I have replaced a couple of items like RAM AIO and GPU’s (still running SLI) I could have kept it as was apart from the RAM which was the only thing that wasn’t repairable.

The system runs as well as the day I bought it and is still pretty good at running everything I need so in my opinion I definitely would recommend a pre built from 3XS albeit that’s based on just my experience.

Yes you don’t get the satisfaction of building a machine that you can be proud of but if you buy smart there’s nothing stopping you from putting your stamp on it.
I do think at this time with the current climate the benefits outweigh the bad so I’d say go for it if you can’t wait for things to normalise which could be some time away.

I was originally going to build my own systems but all the individual warranties with dozens and dozens of parts did my head in so having one system with scan just takes the stress out of everything.
