Couple of questions for community or 3XS

I bought the LG1725 laptop (17" with dual 970s) about 5 months old and it's still absolutely bloody amazing. However, I have 2 niggles that I can't resolve.

1. The integrated microphone does not function with the Realtek drivers
installed. If I install the Microsoft High Definition Audio drivers, the
microphone functions perfectly, but these drivers are not compatible with SB
X-Fi MB, so I do not want to use them. Any advice to get my microphone
working with the Realtek drivers is appreciated.

2. I cannot change the colour of the keyboard backlighting to anything other
than blue or off. I am not convinced that this is even possible, but the app
makes it look like I can choose any colour I want.

I emailed scan support about this but no response, so any help from the community is much appreciated!
