has anyone had the email?...
Nothing yet. Other's have just had there emails for there GD80 being dispatched.
You can't PM until you have a certain amount of posts. There's still time left in the day so give them some to sort it out.
No email here yet either...
Really need an idea of when these are going out as I'm off on hols soon!
Ordered the GD80 at promo price, payment authorised and delayed order notification email in inbox, waiting to hear like everybody else.
Sorry guys..
There seems to be a delay for some reason but don't worry it's not stock related.
I'm pushing the picking dept now.
Sorry again for further delay's.
With respect, why doesn't Scan alleviate their customers concerns and just make a statement that all customers who have an order for the GD80 at the promotional price, that have been payment authorised, will have their order honoured, regardless of current stock levels.
This would end F.U.D in one fell swoop.

Because as I posted earlier we more back order's than we have stock so if we did say this is would not be accurate.
Those of you, which have ordered at the promo price but have not managed to have stock allocated I will speak to the MD to confirm if there is anything we can do for you.
Chris on your previous post you said that .. "23 pieces came into stock with 27 back order's in place."
Am i right in saying that is 4 orders more then what you have stock for (which is also what the nice women who had been dealing with these phone calls all day told me when i rang scan up) or 27 more?
Bad answer.
Firstly you aren't making clear what "stock allocated" actually is. There is no mention of such terms in customers order histories in their account. Does it mean those customers that are payment authorised? Does it mean those customers who have had a delayed order notification email? Does it mean those customers who have ranted the loudest in this forum and thus contribute a higher percentage of bad press for Scan?
Secondly, we're not talking about large swathes of people here. This is not the same as an EOE (error and omission excepted) where hundreds \ thousands of orders could be placed at a ridiculously low price. We're talking about a very small number of people who completed the order process when the promotional offer was still running.
Do the right thing.
on christmas day when your family is gathered round the dining table and the head of the household asks if everybody wants some christmas pudding but of those that say "me! me!" a random small number can't have any because the christmas pud was only allocated for 95% of them?"A Customer is not simply an invoice but a welcome addition to the Scan family"
Some family that is![]()

I'm interested (and slightly concerned!) to have come across this thread. I had been under the impression that everything was fine with Scan's stock system these days, and that everyone who bought a GD-80 would be receiving theirs in the next few days. I also received the Delayed Order Notification last night, so would appreciate an update on this please when you have the necessary information to hand please Scan.
The words "patience" and "faith" seem to come to mind
I'm sure that Chris and/or Paul are doing their best to get this sorted and that no amount of complaining when the result hasn't been settled will change anything.
Feel free to complain after they decide to cancel/refund w.e. our orders. And that's only if they do which i hope they don't.
The order's are being completed off and stock allocated as previously advised
Confirmation e-mails are now being sent out to these customer's.
Best Regards
