    Faulty Graphics Card

Sorry no order number as I signed up through v12 finance (also does not appear on order history because of this, so i have been told)

Firstly, the graphics card is over two years old, so I am not sure if it have a warranty, but seeing as the product cost over £300 I would expect the product to last over 2 years.

I have a Gainward 8800 Ultra 768mb. Last week I turned on the PC and the bios screen had artifacts and also the text was corrupted. Windows failed to boot, although managed to start in safe mode.

I updated to the graphics drivers for windows and also updated the motherboard bios. Same issue. I then tried a spare graphics card from another pc, the pc worked as usual.

Is there any kind of support, i.e bios update for the graphcs card. I have read that the memory on the gfx card could be faulty .. can anyone help? Is it too late for a replacement?

    Thanks for any help

    Regards
    Kevin

    Re: Faulty Graphics Card

Any update please? I contacted Gainward and received the following ...

    Hi Kevin,

Please send the card back to place you purchased it from and they will send it back to us for RMA.

We accept RMA returns only from our distributors.

    Regards,

    Rahul
