Thumbs up Made an order... but need to check something.

    Hello,

I made an order earlier today (9th June) and part of the order was the product "Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3", scan code "LN29499".

Before I ordered I had automatically seen the board on the main Gigabyte website, listing Core i7 875k support, so thought everything would be good to go, but now on a second check, I've noticed that there are two revisions of the board - so I was wondering would I likely be getting a revision 2 board? If possible, if you have both versions in your inventory, could you please send me a revision 2? I know I asked in another thread about 875k support (for a different motherboard) and someone mentioned that I could request a 'version 2' of a motherboard, if available.

If the processor is likely to at least work anyway regardless of BIOS version, that's fine, as I could update it anyway. All I'm really interested in is that it'll boot and enable me to install windows

Thanks very much if you can help (I'll be at work all day tomorrow, and unable to answer any telephones due to nature of my job, so would appreciate either a response here or via email rather than phone.)

P.s. I might just be panicking for no reason at all, apologies if this is the case.

Hi, got your email - posting here first as the email wouldn't get to you to tomorrow. (sent an email as well though)

I'm very tempted by the alternate spec you mentioned, but I'd prefer to stick with a lynnfield processor for the lower power consumption, as I wasn't intending to overclock anyway. Would it be possible for you to do a BIOS update to F8 for me, and how much would this cost? Assuming further payment was needed I could ring up on saturday morning to provide card details again.

[EDIT] Just noticed in another thread a fee of £10 for a BIOS update is mentioned, which I would be happy to pay
(I've double checked on Gigabytes website this time and the F8 release for the revision 1 board would work fine).

    Thanks for any response.
