This lack of news is frustrating.
10 weeks ago I enquired and Scan said 4 weeks.
6 weeks ago Scan said 2 weeks so I pre-ordered (and paid) so that I would definitely get one from that batch.
That batch never materialised and then 4 weeks ago Scan said it's back to 4 weeks again.
So here we are and still no news......how reliable are Scan's predictions on when they'll receive stock? Not at all, IME.
I know it's only a small item and I know there are alternatives but when I bought a LianLi case, the matching card reader is certainly desirable. And when we have cameras that take CF,SD,XD & miniSD cards in the house, all with different USB leads, it makes a lot of sense.....
To be given a lead time and then when that expires be given another lead time and then when that expires be told that you don't know when is very very frustrating.

Please sort it out.

Unfortunately there is still no update on the ETA for the product you have on back order, I am still chasing for you but there seems to be a constraint of stock at the moment from the manufacturer.

I understand the ETA has fallen from a 2 week ETA, since to be fair you were updated to confirm our supplier expects a further 4 week delay ( 27 days ago). We have offered for the order to be cancelled and refunded and replaced once the stock lands.

The option is still available to cancel and refund the order in full, the stock is on order regardless and we can re-take the order once stock is available.

To be fair you are fully aware of this and made the choice to keep the order in place, with no ETA available and this s still the case.

To be fair you did quote 4 weeks - 9 weeks and 2 days ago , 2 weeks - 5 weeks 6 days ago and 4 weeks 4 weeks ago.

Are these numbers just plucked out of the air or are they based on any concrete information?

The information we receive is directly from our Supplier, the supply chain issues are causing the delay's.

Leave it as is for now.
Nowhere has stock at the moment.
As long as you guys have a backorder with your supplier then I'll hang in there.
If I see other retailers get stock then maybe I'll cancel at that time....

I suppose you don't want to give me one because you previously gave me 3 and none of them have been fulfilled - and these were based on your supplier's info? - oh that's OK then - get's you off the hook - it's not you telling porkies it's them.

Please try to see this from my POV and why I might feel frustrated.

Saying "I told you so" ain't going to help - you told me various other things that turned out not to be true.

I can understand your frustration however as previously advised the ETA's which have been quoted previously have been quoted based on information provided by our suppliers.

It was clearly stated when the dates were provided that the dates were estimates rather than confirmed, to which you was happy to wait until stock came available.

I shall chase suppliers and find it I can find out further information for you as to current availability, as it isnt ideal for customers to be waiting for so long.

As soon as I get any information I shall of course let you know.

I have spoken to suppliers who have confirmed that the card readers are on route to them from Taiwan, however there being shipped by boat therefore there are three weeks away as yet

As these are currently on route to the UK and there is still quite a long lead time until we have the stock available please advise how you wish to proceed.

I'll wait.........I've waited this long, what's another month? - anyway there are none in the country [apart from 1 claimed at Specialtech which they didn't have 4 weeks ago so I suspect it's a return - won't buy from them anyway as last time I bought something from them part of it was missing] so if I want one I'd have to wait that long whether I bought it from you or somewhere else.

I won't be holding my breathe though as I've heard it all before.

A realistic estimate of how much longer I'd have to wait would be nice......

I had thought all previous estimates were based on some sort of fact and had hoped after the hoohah 3 weeks ago that the 3 week estimate might at least be relied on, possibly moreso than previous estimates....

sadly it appears not

as my wait enters its 10th week I may as well hang on - surely it can't be long now?

So what is the current estimate?

I could provide another estimate but it seems that it will pass by again, the product is on the water at the moment and I can't provide a confirmed ETA but we will confirm as soon as the product arrives in stock.
