Consigment Ref number doesn't appear on DPD tracking website

Hi chaps,

Placed an order over the weekend that just got paid, picked and dispatched today and was given around midday today a consigment number for DPD, I have tried a couple of times to see if it appeared but it didn't. Do you know what is going on?

I would suggest you not worry about it. The package will no doubt be delivered tomorrow.

In fact this new system seems quicker I got lucky my order was placed on Friday and delivered by 10 am this morning. Pretty much what I have got used to from Scan to be quite honest.

Won't come onto the DPD website until it gets to the depot. Was around 8.30pm for all my recent orders.

Yeah it takes a few hours for it to appear. It'll be there eventually! Check your phone tomorrow for an estimated delivery window

In any case it would be good for Scan to either send the Consigment number around 20.30 or may be just put a note in their current dispatch email saying that the order wont appear on DPDs website until that time to save on possible customer questions like mine

Yeah, had the same problem when returning my card. It was picked up in the morning, but I couldn't see the anything on DPD website until late afternoon. On top of that, the driver didn't leave any collection confirmation which seemed a bit strange to me. Contacted scan and they assured me, it will be okay..

Also, another confusing thing. When returning, they give you collection number, but the search on the DPD's main page doesn't seem to search by it. You have to use the tracking form http://www.dpd.co.uk/tracking/tracking.do and manually specify the collection number in appropriate field.
