    What's DPD done with my parcel?

    From the "Poor experience of Scan/DPD thread"
    Two orders placed 1 week apart - first one on the 1st December, second on 7th. First one - despite getting the "we're going to deliver tomorrow" text - sat at Awaiting shipment until late on into the 10th, then went to "Arrived at sortation hub" with an event date of the 2nd before a further flurry of activity yesterday (12th). They actually delivered that day (which was good) but unfortunately with no warning given I wasn't in (not so good). Luckily my neighbour was an I managed to finally get my "next day delivery". Yay!

    The second one also switched to "Arrived at sortation hub" on the 12th (this time with an event date of the 8th), but no ETA nor text neither. Hopefully that one'll touch down this week (before the blizzards hit us again).

    At the moment it really looks like a third order I placed (on Sunday night!) will arrive before my second order which, I just checked, is still sitting at the "Arrived at sortation hub" status. Any idea what's happening to this second order or, as I strongly suspect, that it's sitting in a "queue" of delayed shipments, in which case I'm guessing I should get it with pretty much the same delay as my first order?

    Sorry for having to ask ... :'(

    Re: What's DPD done with my parcel?

    Well that's coming up on a week further on from my original posting and guess what ... no change in my parcel status, most important of all, no sodding ETA.

    Meanwhile, CityLink managed to successfully deliver a hefty (16kilo) Coolermaster case today that I ordered from Amazon* with a total delay of three days. But Distinctly Pathetic Deliveries can't even get a flipping jiffy bag with a pair of DIMM's and an SSD to me in less than three weeks it would appear. Oh, and in case you think that CityLink were bringing out the huskies, ParcelForce also managed to deliver a whopping Lakeland order only 2-3 days late.

    (* I was going to order this case from Scan, but to be honest given the shoddy "service" from DPD, I figured best to give this small bit of biz to a company that employs a courier company who want to deliver)

    I don't like to complain (especially in the light of the atrocious conditions locally) but of the three orders I've placed this month:
    #1. Got delivered two weeks late - with no prior warning, so I wasn't in to receive it (luckily my neighbour was);
    #2. Has been apparently sitting somewhere in the "sortation hub" since the 8th - so it's not moved in nearly two weeks (that's the order I was talking about in my original posting);
    #3. Was originally going to be delivered on the 14th, but I was going to be out, so I asked for the delivery to be shifted to the 15th. Guess what - no delivery - but at least this apparently arrived locally a couple of days ago, so fingers crossed it might get to me this week.

    So at the moment, I've got a mobo, cpu, case, but no psu, graphics card, memory nor boot disk.

    Already did that yesterday (when my third order turned up - yay!) - and a helpful Scanite (David) not only chased it up for me, but also managed to persuade someone at DPD @Brum to stick it in their pocket heading for sunny Scotland. So - according to DPD's website - it's now sitting in my local depot, so all being well I should get it tomorrow or maybe the day after. Two weeks late is better than never ... (No sarcasm intended)

    Well done Scan! Maybe I should have been less patient and got you folks involved earlier.

    PS Still don't have much regard for DPD.

    (To save confusion - it's a different David from myself)
