Wrong bracket mount supplied for LGA 1156 when buying Thermaltake Frio

    Hi,

I ordered a thermaltake frio last week, and I just tried to connect it to my new PC this weekend. Upon opening bag B, the mount supplied was not the correct one for the LGA 1156, it isn't even the same size as the other one it is paired with. You can download their manual here:
    thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?S=1319&ID=1956#Tab5

I have made an online request too, if you check that, then I will have some screenshots illustrating what the second mount looks like.

Please let me know what I can do, none of the other mounts supplied are the correct size, so unless I am missing something, then I have been supplied with the wrong parts. I would rather not go to the hassle of returning the whole unit, as all I am missing is a single component, but it looks like none of the shops will sell this on its own.

Is there any chance of a response soon? I have been checking my emails and this thread, nothing yet, and would like to resolve this ASAP, as it is holding up the build of my computer.

Still no response yet on any of my avenues of contact, or acknowledgement of receipt of my issue.

Is anything happening with this at all?

Re: Wrong bracket mount supplied for LGA 1156 when buying Thermaltake Frio

Please can someone reply to this or my online ticket?
I am heading off to the US for two weeks in a few days, and if I need to package it up and send it off for a replacement, then I would like to be told about it soon, or I won't be able to do it until I get back.
Optimally, I would get the missing part mailed to the address my package was originally delivered to, which I could then collect when I get back, is this really so much of an issue?

Well I'm off for 2 weeks tomorrow with no semblance of a resolution, have to say that this after-service is pretty poor, what is the point of having online points of contact, if you're not going to bother to support it.

I guess I am going to phone in when I get back and hope that this service is better, unless there is some movement while I am away (although I won't hold my breath on it at this point.)

    Hi,

I can confirm I have today posted out the replacement Socket 1156/55 bracket as per your request.

Please accept my apologies for the delay.

Re: Wrong bracket mount supplied for LGA 1156 when buying Thermaltake Frio

I can confirm that I've received the new brackets, and they both look to be the correct size, and are both labelled as LGA 1156, which I take to be a good sign.

Thanks for getting the issue resolved.
