    Stock for replacement

Is there any way to get a notification when items become available? I'm waiting for Scan to get some stock on a B3 rev Intel DH67GD motherboard, but checking as often as I remember isn't working. I will need to RMA my board as I'm using 3 SATA ports, and I see Chris P has said there's a deadline to do so of 30/6/11 - I assume you'll get boards in before then, but it would be nice to be able to be on a waiting list of some sort. Otherwise, is it possible to RMA for a full refund?

All exchanges are being handled by the manufacturers directly:

    Re: Stock for replacement

Thanks for the quick reply Wesley.

My contract is with Scan, not Intel, and this is a claim of lack of fitness for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act, rather than a warranty issue (which would anyway be addressed to Scan), so I don't see what I have to gain by going to Intel. I do see the potential for losing the route through Scan for any future warranty claim - would this be the case, or would Scan commit to handling warranty claims on the replacement motherboard?

I do see that sending its customers to the motherboard manufacturers is cheaper for Scan, but are you saying that Scan will not replace these defective products from its own stock at all?

Chris P said on this forum on Wednesday:
Alternatively you can return your board to SCAN for a full refund and re-purchase a new board from SCAN at the advertised cost.
so I might have a think about doing that instead, after all it's been over 2 months since I got the board and I've got 3 more months to work this out in. Hopefully the SATA port for my Bluray drive will keep working that long.

    Re: Stock for replacement

    Andy,

You are free to return the board to Scan for a refund, but all exchanges are being handled by the motherboard manufacturers themselves. Any warranty on the R3 replacement would still be honoured by Scan down the line.
