Hi,
I ordered all of the parts to build my PC late-ish on Sunday night. I made sure that every item was shown as 'in stock', and that everything was there. The 'Invoice Printed' and 'Payment Authorised' stages are shown as completed in my order history, shown as done on the Monday, which is fair enough given when I ordered it. I also chose my delivery date as Thursday 7th, so tomorrow. Again, I checked the stock after it was all confirmed.
All was well until today, when I received an email informing me that my order has been delayed due to 'unexpected volume'. I have no idea what 'unexpected volume' is, however, and would like clarification. I checked the stock of the parts yesterday as well, it all showed as 'in stock'. However, now, the MSI Radeon HD6850 Cyclone OC is showing as out of stock, with no ETA.
Looking at that, I assumed that it is infact that which is the cause of my delay. However, I don't want to jump to conclusions, given that it was in stock not only the day I ordered, but also the two days following that. Then again, if something is out of stock, I'd expect an email telling me that, not one telling me of 'unexpected volume'.
So I'm hoping you can clarify for me just what is going on, and what this means in terms of my delivery. This is both my first time ordering from Scan and my first time buying the parts to build a PC, so I'm in my opinion understandably, quite annoyed if it is indeed the case that it is out of stock.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated and hopefully it will be sorted ASAP.
Alex.
