Perhaps you could consider having a more "intelligent" automated RMA response system.
I created an RMA because the hard drive was not as described (36 month warranty which was actually 12 months) and it was all handled very efficiently and the drive collected at the same time as the new one delivered.
However I just received this automated email which is a bit silly as the drive is still sealed in it's anti static bag and isn't faultyCurrent status of your RMA: Items Received
We can confirm we have received your returned goods and they are now with our technicians awaiting testing.
