I have a fault with my motherboard purchased from scan 13 months ago.
Scan no longer have the motherboard for sale so I was wondering if I could get an RMA to get a refund?

Noxvayl,
Can you please provide us with your invoice number and a description of the fault, we can then raise a returns number for you.
At this stage we would be unable to offer a refund, however we will arrange for the item to be sent to Gigabyte UK for a direct repair/replacement.
Kind regards,

Just curious, what are the conditions for a refund?
Does it have to be within a year or is it specified by the manufacturer whether they offer a replacement/repair/refund?

Got an email in response to my RMA saying I should contact returns staff for assistance.
Would that mean that a message through these forums is sufficient or do I need to use a specific email address?
Please use the returns query link on our site:

Thank you.

I've received the motherboard back today and after installing it have found the same problem. This time it seems to be able to run when I only use 1 memory module in slot 3 of the motherboard. When a single memory module is installed in slots 2 and 4 I get error code 15 on the motherboard and the system goes into an endless loop of restarting without ever displaying the Gigabyte splash screen. When 2 DIMMs are installed in dual channel confiration(slots 1+2 or 3+4) then I get error code 15 without the system passing POST.
When the board was returned from Gigabyte was there any assurance that it was fixed and tested to be working? Did anyone at Scan test the board when it came back from Gigabyte to make sure it was working before sending it back to me?
I'm using these forums because the last time I used Scans website I didn't get a response until after the motherboard was already returned to me.
Could someone please find out if there was any guarantee that the board was working when Gigabyte sent it back and whether or not it was tested at Scan before being sent to me. I have a faulty board that is unable to accept more than 1 DIMM so would like to get this sorted ASAP.
Hi,
As you are aware when the board was returned to us originally it was found to have damage to the CPU socket (bent pins) therefore we could not test the board for the original fault reported.
A disclaimer was signed by you to indicate that you understood the warranty on the board had been rejected however that we would return the board on your behalf to Gigabyte to try and secure a repair or replacement for you.
Gigabyte successfully repaired the damaged CPU socket on the motherboard and returned the board to us.
I can confirm that at no point before or after the return from Gigabyte was the board tested by SCAN, however the boards are "normally" tested by Gigabyte prior however it is possible that on this occasion it was not hence why you still have the same problem as before.
I can see that you called and spoke to Amanda on Friday afternoon shortly after this post and a new RMA number has been issued and a collection booked for tomorrow to get the board back to be tested, providing there is no damage to the board we will test it at SCAN and providing the fault is confirmed we will replace it.
Regards
Cheers, unfortunately Amanda informed me that you do not have any more stock of the board or any refurbished ones available. What are the other options are there for me?
I've already purchased the MSI Z77A-G43 Gaming motherboard because it was the closest to the specification of GA-Z77X-UD5H Scan had available which I am currently using. I'm guessing that is the board that will be offered to me as a replacement but because I already purchased it so that I could use my computer while waiting for the GA-Z77X-UD5H to be sorted would it be possible to get a refund for the market value of the GA-Z77X-UD5H to cover the costs of me purchasing the replacement MSI Z77A-G43 Gaming?
Regards
