I have been emailing and calling SCAN for just under a month now and have been constantly ignored by email. My last reply was on the 6th June and it was an email asking me a question I had already answered. After I sent my first few emails, the reply time was so terrible I ended up calling SCAN. They were polite and helpful on the phone and sent me a list of questions to answer about my GPU and why it may be faulty, I'll paste these below.
Ensure that you have downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics card directly from the Nvidia or AMD website.
First thing I tried.
Please provide the make, model and rating of the power supply that you are using if it was not part of the original purchase.
It was part of the original purchase.
Please confirm which games or applications in which the card shows the fault.
I don't get a chance to play games on the card, it does not work.
Please confirm the timescales for which the fault takes to manifest with the above games/applications.
See above.
Please Confirm the resolution that you are running I.E 1920x1080.
1440x900.
Please confirm how many screens your are running with the card.
I have two. Tried running with 1 and 2.
If possible test the card inside another machine to confirm that the fault follows the card.
It follows the same fault in another machine. The graphics card is simply not detected by the motherboard.
Please remove all traces of your graphics drivers to rule out a software problem, sometimes a standard uninstall is not enough, as such we recommend the use of display drive uninstaller, this can be found here:
I used the HDD that I ordered in the original purchase, I installed a fresh copy of Windows to my HDD. There was no conflicts.
We would also recommend trying the card on Heaven benchmark to see if the fault shows on this program
Please run Heaven on the highest graphical settings to the maximum resolution that your monitor support and set Anti-aliasing to x8.
If the card shows the fault with Heaven please confirm the length of time the fault took to manifest itself as this will help Scan replicate the fault more efficiently.
Yeah that'd be possible if I could use the card. It is not detected. See above.
After I answered these questions, I received another email asking a question I had already answered above. This was on the 6th of June. I have been emailing since then looking for an answer, I have been without a GPU for a long time and I only want to send it back so I am able to purchase a new one, I don't even want a refund, just store credit equal to what I paid. I want this sorted ASAP so I can finally finish my build.
Thanks.
