    zalman cooler doa

hi, ordered a zalman nps9700 amongst other things last monday and due to the shipping delays and no one being in just got it yesterday.
plugged it in with my new processor and the fan won't spin. don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that the fan was pressed into the fins of the cooler when i took it out the box. anyway, i'm not happy but it's oviously not your fault. however is it now going to take another week or more to get a replacement? can you just send me a new fan for it? i really don't want have to wait for ages before i can use my compuer again. is there anything you can do?

If it's Dead on Arrival then you would need to speak to the returns department as soon as possible really.

You can log the issue Here or alternatively you can speak to them choosing options 1 then 2 then 1 to get to returns.

    Best Regards,

Seems to be a problem with these coolers, I just received mine and it's the same, but you can bend it back forward a little, and the fan seems to spin freely though the blades stick out a few mil at the top only seems to be aesthetic. I'm going to try mine a bit more before I decide whether or not to RMA it.

i moved the fan away from the fins so that it will spin freely with my finger but it still won't work with power - knackered :-(

I must advise you not to try and fix this yourself, any damage to the product could be seen as physical damage thus warranty void. Please take this up with the returns department as this may be a problem with all the coolers.

Just a thought - have you changed it from 3-pin to 4-pin in the bios?
