    Packing of deliveries

Generally I find Scan packaging to be very good. However I've now had my 3rd quantity of ln15014 and these never are packed as well. Each time over the last 3 months they've come just in the CityLink plastic bag, no bubble wrap, nothing apart from the flimsy cardboard box the keyboard is in.

Each time they've always suffered some damage, although only the box, not the keyboard (so far). I tend to sell these on with HTPC's I build and it doesn't make a good impression sending it in a tatty squashed box.

Can you consider packing these in future to the same standard as everything else you send please?

    Thanks.

Just had another small order of these keyboards delivered and it's exactly the same very poor packing ie boxes only with no protection. Yet again all the outer cardboard boxes are crushed. I haven't yet checked the keyboards but I'm unimpressed particularly since you've TWICE told me this won't happen again with these exact keyboards!

    Mabybe i have been lucky.
Reecently i ordered a Lightscribe DVD-RW and a MX100. Bot of these items were EXTREMELY well packed. The both had enough bubble wrap around them to sink a battleship. I reckon if they were dropped 10 storeys they wouldve survived

    Thanks Scan

Wouldn't bubblewrap float the battleship, rather than sink it

I agree nearly everything from Scan is very well packed. However they seem to have a blind spot in particular for these keyboards. Everytime I order some they come with their glossy box badly damaged because of non-existant protection.

Yeah, a normal MS or Logitech keyboard would be fine without additional packaging, but these ones are really rubbish cardboard. I got mine along with other items in a larger box, you could tell the manufacturer packaging wasn't great.

    Good keyboard for HTPCs though

Too true, great range, nice 'mouse' pad, small size.

Out of interest, can you use the it with the systems use build during boot? I can't, but i'm willing to believe that is my motherboards fault. Thinking about replacing it.

I can't recall ever having a problem with using it through bios screens etc if that's what you mean. It's usually a 'legacy usb' setting or similar in the bios that needs to be enabled to ensure it works early on.

Any comments from Scan staff over the packing issue?

    Hi,

As Chris previously stated our picking dept have previously been made aware of this issue.

I can see however your concerns especially as your re selling the items therefore I shall point out the issues again to them.

    Regards,

The original comment from Chris was in December (this was the 2nd time I'd raised it). This is now another order some 2-3 months on and it's still the same, that's why I raised it again because nothings changed.
