Hi Scan,
so I've been working all day on an urgent piece of work for my manager which took up the whole day which was solid without any breaks apart from lunch and I get sleeted on the way home so I have not had time to check my personal email. Last wednesday I raised an RMA on a suspected DoA board, which I did after seeking help on the forums here, which I did on a last resort.
I've found out my RMA was rejected, apparently the socket was damaged. I've done CPU installation on a number of machines for family, so I was not expecting this to happen. On Thursday night, I got my friend from work to test my CPU to check to test drive my CPU as I was considering getting the same board as his should a replacement fail as there have been some other users of my board who have recieved dodgy boards. My CPU was picked up fine on his motherboard, so this points that I correctly installed the CPU on my board.
I feel Scan are avoiding the original reason that the board was RMA'ed; that being that it was a DoA board and using this as an excuse. RMA number available on request.
Sincerely,
An angry customer.
