    Delivery issue

I ordered some items Wednesday evening from scan, with the estimated arrival date for Friday which was good because I was off work, yet they were only sent to Citylink today and therefore I won't receieve them until Monday and as such won't get them as I am at work between 7 and half 6. Can citylink be contacted to deliver them over the weekend, or to my work address on Monday, or before 7 or after half 6 on Monday? I'd rather not drive the 50 miles to my 'local' depot to pick them up, unless Scan feels like picking up the fuel bill.

    Thanks

Please contact Customer services, we will need to contact City Link to arrange the re-direection for you. A re-direction charge may apply

OK thanks for that, I'm a little dissapointed that i had to pay for the alteration though as I was expecting it to come on Friday anyway, and now won't come until Tuesday at least to the altered address. I would like a refund of the charge if possible, what do you think?

Unfortunately I would be unable to authorise this, your best option would be to Contact Customer services to evaluate your options

Well since it was free delivery to begin with I'm not too concerned but can I suggest that your website should get a bit of a overhaul, it's not the first time i've expected items on one date and got them on another. I know it can be difficult to judge concerning low stock items, but when you order an item one evening and they dont get picked and sent out all day the following day even though they are in stock it's a little annoying.

    Thanks for your help.

Flate mate picked up the items for me today even though I phoned over the weekend and asked for a change of address, and was charged. I guess it's another contact customer services job to get the money back for the change of address charge.

I wonder, does the free delivery option come with a catch? That if any orders are going to be delayed that day, it'll be those ones?

If so, could Scan just admit to this please so people can make an informed decision as to whether or not to use it? You'll get more people paying for carriage on time-critical shipments and hopefully less whining if you do!

Lucio - we can assure you that the 'free delivery' orders do not in any way shape or form get treated any lesser to orders where the carriage is applied.

As some of you know, there are a few changes going on, not only the visable i.e changes to the size of the store and new things popping up, but also things that are invisible to customers such as small changes to the systems.
