Yes but I'd still look at the Auzentech's, they share the same audio processor.

So does that mean Azuntech will be creating a new card with the X-Fi chip in it?

Should I wait for the new card to come out or should I just get the X Meridian in a couple of months?

When will the Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1 be up on the site?

I've got a set of the Logitech 5500's and I must say, they rock! The quality of sound is amazing. I've got it plugged into my dvd player through the optical connection, and I occasionaly plug my laptop into them.

You wont be disapointed if you get these, not sure about the sound card situation though.
