Dude chill the thing is it does happen and estimates are just that estimates..there not set in stone.

To say SCAN have no intension of getting the date correct is harsh.

You say blah blah warehouse extension stuff, if thats whats happening then thats whats happening, your not the only one that -pays good money- SCAN do have other customers.

Who knows how many online and in store customers SCAN get.

You'll probably get asked to pm your invoice number so why not do that while your calming down.

its intention btw , and the estimate date like disturbed says is an estimate, not actual date.

This is why I'm glad I actually work for a mail order company, it makes me a lot calmer about problems with orders I place as I know how tough it is to keep up with consumers who have gotten spoilt on ideas like place an order at 6pm and still get it next day....

Only thing Scan could change IMO would be to ensure that payment is only taken on the day of despatch, i.e. whatever day the money comes out of your acocunt, that's the day it goes.

I have looked into this for you and the last order I can see ends in 239, is this the order, which is being referred to?...

The order which was placed with Hexus free carriage and for £ 17.15 Ex Vat. This order has been placed on hold as you are not entitled to free carriage, as this is below the £ 20.00 Ex Vat limit

Please confirm if you would like to add further items to the order or add the £ 5.98 + Vat carriage charge for this order

If this relates to a different order please PM me with the invoice number

    Regards

No this is the order my mistake on the price there, but your system would have seen this as soon as i made the order but waits till the evening before delivery to email me. excellant stuff as per usual plus the delay email says nothing about this.

can you add LN17705 to the order this should take it over £20 ex vat

and to the peeps who posted above, if a builder came estimated £100 for a job and then said actually its £200 im sure you would mile and be happy and hand over the cash.

plus i wouldnt mind to much if the emailed with a bit more notice not just before the day or even on the day. i will now do as most people do on this forum place my order then prentend its life or death so it gets bumped to the front of the queue

To be honest mate its your fault for not reading the rules on free carriage.

Its like putting a dint in your own car and then blaming your next door neighbour because he looked at it.....

So chill and next time be more careful to read the rules. Your lucky to have the option of free carriage at all so be grateful.

All I will say you have no excuse and the rules are clear. This forum states therefore the automated e-mail does not need to

Sorry to be blunt, but we are not going to take the flack for something, which is not our mistake.

We ship on a next day service which mean we have collections from Scan up until about 7.30pm. The e-mails are automated so when the system realises that we can not send the order for whatever reason you get mailed. So if we intend to send it then realise that we can't at say 5.30pm how can we send you an email earlier?

If you have a system which can tell the future then great, you have made quite a few orders with Scan in which 2 have been delayed a day, 1 which has been held for not conforming to Hexus/Scan rules and all of your orders have been given an estimated delivery date.
