Asus P5N 32 Sli SE Deluxe - Network card

    Hi guys,

I came back home after work last night and turned my computer on. I noticed that the internet wasn't working and removed the cable from the back of my computer. I noticed that the lights next to the network card lights didn't go off (which they usually do). I tried the other network port on the motherboard and it works fine and the lights go off when there isn't a cable plugged in.

I have requested RMA's but I really don't want to send my motherboard back if I don't have to. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have cleared the CMOS and unplugged all power and left it for an hour but no joy.

My PSU started buzzing a month or two ago when I shut the computer down so I can send that back at the same time - two birds and all that!

Its just a pain - especially because it will cost a fortune to send it back to scan. Will I get my postage money back if a fault is found?

    Thanks,

    Mark

I have the RMA for motherboard and power supply.

I have a couple of questions.

I have noticed that the 600W XClio power supply is not listed on the site anymore... so what will it be replaced with?

    Also...

When I send the motherboard off, can I remove all the fans, cables, manuals etc and just include the motherboard so that it will be lighter, and therefore cheaper to send? I presume you will just swap the motherboard for a new one and not the whole box?

I would appreciate a speedy reply as I am sending the stuff tomorrow morning so you should receive it by Monday.

    Thanks guys,

    Mark

I have just sent back my PSU and Motherboard this morning special delivery so that it is insured and signed for.

It has just cost me just under £40 to send them both, that is rediculous.

If Scan find a problem with the motherboard again (as it has already been replaced) I would like to be refunded the postage cost for my motherboard. As that would be £40 in total just for send the motherboard back! Thats about a quarter of the price of the motherboard.

What are the chances of this happening...? I think Scan are excellent as far as everything else goes... but I think I should be refunded for the motherboard considering it is the second failed motherboard?

If it is found faulty?? They didn't offer the first time I sent the motherboard back.. Its just rediculous. I love Scan but as far as returning a product goes, if it is found faulty the postage should be refunded!

    Can Scan maybe reply please?

@Marcvs - thanks for your reply

No refund on postage - only if it fails within the first 28 days and to a max value of £5 (for postage).
