RMA Query

Hi i recently sent my cpu and motherboard for testing , as i found a pin slighty higher than the rest where the cpu fits into the mobo , and since my system didnt start with all BRAND new components and only all fans spun for one second , i believe the slighty raised pin was the fault , but i got a reply today saying no faults were found , Scan diagonosis was : Installed cpu nad memory with 8500gt Corsair vs tx 1gb Hiper 580. for both the cpu and mobo . If it would be possible could you shed some light into exactly what tests were made , as i would recomend testing the cpu and mobo i purchased together if this was not already done , and also what would be the outcome of this , any replacement still ?
