Question A CPU Cooler for an Asus Striker Extreme ??

Hi there, I am looking a getting an Asus Striker Extreme MB; does anyone know what is a good cooler to use (and would fit) for an QX6800 CPU?

I was thinking of getting the Zalman CNPS9700-NT

That cooler would fit the asus striker, as the mobo is 775 and the Zalman comnes with various attachments for a different number of boards as per the Scan website
    Socket Compatibility: 754, 775, 939, 940, AM2.
I have one on my AM2 board and i have to warn you, they're a bit noisy despite the decibel rating on scan. Especially on a laminate floor.

I have this exact combination of motherboard, processor and cooler, and can confirm it fits perfectly!
Here's a photo of the board and the cooler.

It can get very loud when on full blast but the Asus board's Q-Fan feature works very well and I only hear the fan wind up to full blast when the PC is under load - so normally it's quite quiet.

It cools very well and I get nice temperatures of about 32 celsius when idle.

    No problem.

The system is generally very stable (apart from the problems I'm having in my other thread which is likely my gfxcard's fault).

I am using PC2-9200 OCZ Reaper memory but I haven't managed to get the memory up to full speed yet.

What speed are you at? did it boot or did you have to find some slow memory then set it?

I'm just running at 800Mhz at the moment, defaults, while I troubleshoot my graphics card issues. I've had it up to about 970MHz but no higher. It booted first time without any problems with the memory, but so far I haven't managed to get it up to the 1150MHz that the memory is rated at.

I have seen so many postings of the Asus Extreme and the Abit 32-MAX having problems, I wondered what version of the BIOS you are using and do you know what version of the MB it is?
