Question regarding Intel Q6600 stock

I see that Scan are selling the Q6600 at a great price & as I require 6 Q6600's for the office, I thought I'd order them and get myself one aswell.

But just a quick question before I order them. Are these the new G0 stepping CPUs? & if not when will Scan be stocking them?

Sorry but we cannot really guarantee steppings and week codes on processors.

This is down to having more than 1 active supplier which means at any one given time the batch in stock could be of mixed codes.

Wait until the 22nd July before you buy a Q6600. That's the day Intel lowering their prices. A big reduction for quad cores i here.

Price drop will most probably be another £30-40 off Scans current price.

Q6600 current=$530 After 22nd July=$266

That price is nearly cut in half. These are american prices. So it depend how much we brits are going to get ripped off.

Should be about £140+Vat is we dont get ripped off. Scan is currently £235

I think its going to be more close to £180 all in, as we all know we here in the UK always get ripped off. But I will hold off until the 22nd, gives me time to source a G0 stepping. Thanx for your help mate.
