I've just been speaking to Citylink (Sh and an extra T would do in the name ). Had to wait for ages, the women on the other end then couldn't find my customer reference number. She eventually found it and said she'd phone me back...
I really don't like how over £800 worth of stuff is just sitting around, probably getting damaged.
You guys really need to get rid of Citylink. I've had nothing but problems with them, a lot of other people have as well.

Also, the status of the order on the Citylink website is this:
So far it's taken the driver 3 days to get back to their branch apparently.........These goods have been successfully collected and are on route to the collection branch.

And it says "Scheduled Delivery Date: 03/07/07"

Hopefully the conversation I have had with you has explained the situation regarding the delay. I know this isnt ideal and hopefully your happy with the resolution we have come to.

It seriously can't be that good. This is the second time out of 4 orders from various online retailers that Citylink have screwed up for me.
I have also seen countless complaints and problems with Citylink.
But I'm not blaming the staff at Scan, I just hate Citylink now
I have been told off, I shall stop now.

As I said said above you have to look at the bigger picture, if you have seen countless threads about City-Link you will be well aware of the reasons. You will mostly only see threads flaming this company but not as often people praising them that is why I said you need to look at the bigger picture and on a whole if the service was not up to Scan's standards we would not use them, we do ship more than 10 parcels a day. I hope this clears things up

Paul's right, in the past few months I've praised Scans service 3 times on this board, always forgetting that citylink had played their part as well. The level of service you receive from CL does seem to depend on the area you live in.
Even if Scan did do away with CL, there would just as likely be the same complaints about the new company.
city link are being brought back so its 1 company again instead of local agents, i guess they realised how badly they screwed it up..
Personally the service in my area is good but i hope this news brings improvments to those in areas where the service is poor.
yep our branch is ok, drivers have got to know me so stuff arrives now !
