Is there an ETA on the Asus P5K Premium motherboard? I've heard it could be due for retail very soon?

I will certainly check this on Monday for you dude
:)
np
any info on any of the Asus Blitz range would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi, Whats the advantage of the Premium over the Deluxe? I checked the website and could not make head not tail of it.
Check this out here.
The main reason I am interested in it over the deluxe is it will probably only be about £10 more and I would have to spend that on getting the bios on the Deluxe updated to ensure G0 compatibility whereas the Premium should definately be shipping with compatible bios so it would be a slightly better board for what should be about the same price.
Ahh that makes sense, I only had my Deluxe a month or so but couldnt see a specification difference between those two boards.
Heh a quote from that Forum :) But as you say, the BIOS route makes perfect sense I guess.

the p5k-dlx already kicks ass ...this board is basically identical in a nicer box and a price markup.
i expect to see this on april 1st to be honest but that's asus for ya.

I can't seem to find the model you are looking for via the Asus site " Asus Blitz Formula "
http://www.asus.com/search.aspx?sear...earchkey=blitz
Please could you re-check the model, or do you have a link to the product you are looking for ..
Best Regards
Anton, do you mean the 'Blitz Extreme' ?
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...89&modelmenu=1
the P5K's are showing up now as DDR3 boards, does this mean the premum eddition is DDR3 only or DDR2 only ?
The Premium has 2Gb of DDR 3 Onboard memory
:)
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...29&modelmenu=1
So there are two variants then. The DDR3 version above (with memory) and a DDR2 version below (without memory):
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...49&modelmenu=1
I'm interested in the second one.
I think people are just getting confused the 'P5K3' is a DDR3 board and the 'P5K' is a DDR2 board. :)
There are too many variants to count of each board inlcuding some DDR3 boards supplied with Memory !!! :)
Haha all this confusion is caused by Asus having 300 slightly different boards.
The P5K is DDR2, no matter whether it is Premium or anything else.
The P5K3 is DDR3, for example the P5K3 Deluxe Wifi/AP
Blitz Formula is DDR2
Blitz Extreme is DDR3
The P5K3 Premium/WiFi-AP is the one with DDR3 already installed.
I hope this clarifies things a little - I realise this thread is a couple of days old so you may know the answer already, but I've spent ages on the Asus site so I thought I should comment...
Here is a link to another etailer selling the board I was originally enquiring about so you have a better idea what I am talking about. I'm very interested in knowing when and at what price you will have it for sale.
http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=607890
It depends largely on what price it will be because at the etailer I linked to it is very expensive and I would rather order the Asus Blitz Formula for an almost identical price.
i have mine :)
seems a good board so far will tell u all more as and when i get it clocked
yeah it works with an e6850 straight away although i had my bios downloaded before the board came
The P3K3 with onboard memory, ouch thats a price! Is DDR3 still worth going for, last time I looked for the price it just was not worth the performance gained.
