XMS2 vs XMS2 Pro

Anyone know what the difference is between these two models... any real significant performance differences/how is it achieved?

The PRO series have activity LED's on the top of the memory modules.

That is the major difference between the 2 sets.

LED's ... as in Light Emitting Diodes - How does that warrant ~£30 price increase .. thank goodness i didn't fall for the gimmick and ordered the non-pro edition.

I presume they're the all too common blue LED's?

Nope - they are not blue ones for once.

They range from green through to Orange and then to Red.

They are used by the memory to show how much of the memory is being utilised at the time by the system, with green at the bottom and of course red at the top.

If you want to see them in action, then look no further

Beanz - Have you got google blocked at work as I'm using picasaweb to store my images.

It's a lot faster and quicker than imageshack

Google's fine, but the might have blocked picasaweb seperately; they definetely block flickr.

And yes, imageshack = lose, but GODump = win

Funnily enough I can't see Lee's image either and I definately know that no websites are blocked by my company's server as I'm the sys admin!

Anyhow, thanks for the info, I for one think pretty LED's are worth the extra, if only I had a window in my case
