Have been following this thread since it first went live. Like many others I am waiting for the Q6600 Go to form part of my new build.

I guess I have waited long enough so another month wont hurt.

Thanks for the date. Like others I was hoping for sooner but can survive till then. It's probably soon enough to risk ordering the rest of my kit now, even though I won't be able to test any of it before getting the cpu - that'll keep me a little busy hunting City Link drivers.

When you say you should have enough stock to go around does this mean you reckon you won't sell out at all or at least not within 24 hours? If I was reasonably sure of that I'd not have to check as often.

    Cheers for the update.

Another etailer with an ETA for tomorrow has just removed it. Typical.

Maybe too much hype's been built up around these g0's and there's too many b3s left on the shelves.

Ooh look, they cometh in force. Welcome lurker.

Seeing that we have time on our hands waiting for this stepping, what exactly does G0 stand for? In fact, why couldn't they call them B4 or something?

I read it in the eXtremeSytem forums and in OcUK. What is absolute pants because I am selling my current items on eBay!!! So I reckon I am going to have to buy a "fantastic" B3 Stepping

Thanks for letting us know - at least we weren't waiting on false dates.

Turns out I'll be over in the US on the 28th, so I might just pick me up a X3220 G0 over there, if I can get one (I'm a sucker for Xeons).

    28th!
Great - Right in the middle of my holiday.
Hope there are still some left by the 31st which will be the earliest I can order.
Oh well, I've waited a few months so what's a few more weeks?

Argh I didn't see, 28th! Damn it. I'm going to have to get a c2d in the mean time I think. I can't wait around any longer. My room is a jungle of boxes and electronics all because of a measly little chip.

Re: Scan to split Intel Quad Q6600 GO Stepping CPU's !!!

    Thanks for the update Carl.

I feel like I did when I was about eight years old and waiting for Christmas.

    ...Sad, I know.

Edit: Quick question while we wait. 512MB RX1950 XT or 8800 GTS 320MB?
