Probably been inundated. Lots of lurkers have probably kept them busy.

Did do a shameless plug for them too on another forum..

You may be lucky - they pick and dispatch until quite late in the evening and the email may just be a little slow in arriving. Sometimes I've woken up in the morning to find the email sitting there telling me it was dispatched the night before.

    Brilliant!

I've been using my 5 year old laptop for the past three weeks while I've been waiting for these to come in, such a relief to finally be getting one! All I've got left to do is decide what OS to use!

    Re: In Stock ! - Intel Q6600 G0 SLACR, 95W Stepping CPU's

Are these really any better than an E6850?

( not bashing the thread, genuine question ) I know *technically* they are... but wouldn't a C2D still perform better for nearly all applications ( currently )?

    Only ask becuase I don't know if I should get this or a E6850 ! : )

ps: I'll be overclocking the nuts off either

    Re: In Stock ! - Intel Q6600 G0 SLACR, 95W Stepping CPU's

An E6850 or E6750 are indeed faster processors that would (and do) run fast in many applications. But the Q6600 G0 core offers great overclocking potential due to its lower TDP (95W). When an overclocked (and suitably cooled) Q6600 is compared with the other processors then the Q6600 should offer a great deal of future proofing, especially as games that use (quite efficiently) quad cores are just around the corner.

I suppose it depends on what you intend to use it for - I use mine for distributive computing, so having 4 cores in one machine is better for me, and I'm sure those that use heavy multi-tasking apps will benefit too.

However for gaming I would imagine a faster C2D would be better.

me too. I would think they are all the same as they came from one distributer. Gonna pick mine up this after if there are any left.

Don't worry - I don't believe they will sell out within the next couple of days.

The above email was a delay message, not an out-of-stock.
